What the authorities trust
You don't have to take our word for it. Deblock is registered with French and European regulators, and every document is public. Here are the three markers that really matter before you click.
The Deblock SAS approvals document highlights CIB number 17748 and the useful ACPR / Banque de France references for the relevant electronic money perimeter.
The AMF public entry mentions Deblock SAS, company number 948 264 163 and MiCA approval A2025-001 in the relevant whitelist.
The useful reflex is also to read the personal terms and the fee schedule to understand the account, card and practical limits.
How your money is protected
Deblock keeps two logics clearly separate. The euro account side falls under the regulated electronic money framework; the crypto side sits in a self-custody wallet whose keys you keep. Understanding that difference is the key thing.
The euros on your account fall under the electronic money framework. They are safeguarded, kept separate from the issuer's own funds, and not exposed to its other activities.
Your crypto-assets live in a non-custodial wallet: Deblock does not hold your recovery phrase and cannot access your funds or move them on your behalf. You can even download your private keys from the app to manage your crypto entirely on your own.
Opening an account requires identity verification (KYC). It takes two minutes, and it is exactly what separates a regulated service from an opaque app.
No regulation protects you from volatility: crypto-asset values go up and down. The framework protects the service and your rights, not the market price.

If your main goal is simply a modern account with a card, the product itself matters most. If your goal includes crypto features, you also need a real risk assessment.
Trust and safety questions
No. The service requires identity checks and publishes legal information, which is very different from anonymous services. the Deblock safety page brings those caution points together in a clearer way.
No. The protection logic for euros in an electronic money framework is not the same as the risk profile of crypto-assets. the Deblock safety page brings those caution points together in a clearer way.
Read the public terms, confirm the app path is correct and understand which features you really plan to use. the Deblock safety page brings those caution points together in a clearer way.
The euro account falls under electronic money rules: funds are safeguarded and kept separate from the issuer's own funds. This framework is not identical to the deposit guarantee of a classic bank savings account, so read the official terms. the Deblock safety page brings those caution points together in a clearer way.
Deblock works in self-custody: your crypto-assets sit in a wallet whose keys you keep. You stay in control of your holdings, which reduces the risk of depending entirely on a third party. You can even download your private keys from the app if you want full autonomy. The main thing is still to confirm exact compatibility inside the app at activation time.
Deblock SAS is registered with the ACPR for electronic money and listed in the AMF whitelist with a MiCA approval. The references are public and verifiable in the documentation. documentation remains the easiest entry point for the official terms and PDFs.
